WEDDING VIDEO TIMELINES
Your wedding day is full of special moments, and your timeline helps us capture every one of them perfectly. While we work closely with your wedding planner and photographer, our approach is all about making sure every important detail is covered.
We’ve put together this guide to show you how we work, what to expect from our video coverage, and how we tailor everything to reflect the moments that mean the most to you.
Wedding Day Video Coverage
We typically provide 6 to 12 hours of coverage, depending on your schedule and the events you want documented.
Bride & Groom Prep:
We start with 1 to 1.5 hours of coverage as you get ready. During this time, we capture:
Scenic and drone shots
Close-ups of your bridal accessories, hair, makeup, and those final touches
Candid moments like champagne toasts, love letter readings, and the excitement of getting dressed
This part of the day sets the stage by capturing the anticipation and joy of your morning.
First Looks:
Whether it’s a private moment with the groom, a special encounter with your bridal party, or a sweet reunion with family, we’re there to capture the genuine emotion. We recommend about 10 minutes for each first look.
Bride & Groom Portraits:
This is one of our favorite parts of the day. We suggest setting aside 30 to 45 minutes to try different poses and backgrounds—this not only adds a creative touch to your wedding video but also gives your photographer plenty of options.
Bridal Party Portraits:
We capture the fun and energy of your bridal party, typically in about 30 minutes. This timing can flex based on the size of your group.
Family Portraits:
While your photographer usually takes these, we use the time to set up for the ceremony or reception. Generally, 30 minutes works well here.
Sunset Portraits:
For a magical finish, we recommend a brief 10 to 15-minute session right before sunset when the light is just perfect.
Ceremony:
Your ceremony is the heart of your day. We set up multiple camera angles and audio sources to make sure every detail is captured. We usually take about 30 minutes for setup, and the ceremony itself can range from 20 to 90 minutes.
Cocktail Hour:
During cocktail hour, we finalize our setup for the reception and capture the beautiful details of your celebration. This part typically lasts around an hour, though some couples prefer a more extended period.
Reception:
The reception is where the celebration really comes to life. We focus on key moments such as:
Reception introductions
The first dance
Parents’ dances and toasts
We also capture additional events like the cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss, sparkler exit, and of course, the dancing. We usually recommend 1.5 to 2.5 hours of coverage to ensure we capture all the highlights, while still leaving plenty of time for the party.
